I find it a great tool for financial planners when providing projections for clients retirement needs. It was an eye opener to see the significant difference in life expectancy of up to 10 years in some cases. I have started using the tool as part of my client file notes to help comply with the code of ethics, including standard 6 to demonstrate that just because part of the clients funds are in a lifetime income stream doesn’t mean there will be sufficient overall income for life given people are living longer and demonstrating this will be essential moving forward.
